Imperial Topaz is a rare and valuable variety of the mineral Topaz, prized for its rich golden-orange to reddish-orange color. It is considered the most valuable type of Topaz, with the finest examples commanding high prices. Imperial Topaz is found in limited quantities in the Ouro Preto region of Brazil, as well as in Russia, Pakistan, and other countries. These gemstones were highly favored by Russian czars, adding to their prestige and allure.

One of the unique features of Imperial Topaz is its ability to display different colors depending on the type of light it is viewed under. Under natural sunlight or incandescent light, it appears as a warm, golden color. Under fluorescent light, it can appear more pink or purplish in tone.
